Getting There

The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes from the main shopping areas. Look for signs directing you to the marina and the charter boats.

• Public Transport

  Take the Arubus to the central bus station in Oranjestad, located adjacent to the cruise terminal and Royal Plaza. From there, walk southeast along L.G. Smith Blvd towards the harbor area. The marina is about a 5-minute walk from the bus station. Arubus runs frequently between the hotel strip and downtown Oranjestad. A round trip bus ticket costs $5.

• Taxi

  From most hotels in Oranjestad, a taxi ride to Carla Fishing Charters at L.G. Smith Blvd 9 is a quick and convenient option. Taxis in Aruba do not have meters; instead, fares are fixed based on the destination. A short taxi ride within Oranjestad typically costs between $7 and $15. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. There is a surcharge of $3 on Sundays, official holidays, and from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

• Parking

  If driving, paid parking is available along L.G. Smith Blvd and in the surrounding downtown area. Look for white-lined parking spaces with registration numbers. Parking is enforced from Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 7 PM. Payment can be made with local or U.S. coins at the kiosks. Hourly rates are approximately AWG 2 (US $1.14). Free parking may be available in the Renaissance hotel lots south of Lucy's Retired Surf Bar. Be aware of yellow-lined spaces, as they are for employees and permit holders only.
