Getting There
Walking
Starting from the center of Paradera, head north on the main road, which is called Route 1. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 4. At this junction, you will see signs for Hooiberg. Turn left onto Route 4 and walk for about 1 kilometer. You will see Hooiberg in the distance. Continue walking until you reach the entrance of Hooiberg park, which is on your right. The hike to the top begins here.
Public Transport
From Paradera, locate the nearest bus stop along Route 1. Take a bus heading towards Oranjestad. The fare is usually inexpensive. Inform the driver that you would like to get off at the Hooiberg stop, which is approximately 15 minutes away. Once you get off the bus, walk towards the Hooiberg, which will be visible from the bus stop. The entrance to the park is just a short walk ahead.
Biking
If you have access to a bicycle, head north from Paradera along Route 1. Cycle for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 4. Turn left onto Route 4 and continue biking for approximately 1 kilometer. As you approach Hooiberg, you will see the entrance to the park on your right. There is a bike rack available for you to park your bike before starting your hike up the mountain.
