Taxi

From Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA), taxis are readily available outside the arrival hall. A taxi to Palm Beach costs approximately $31 USD. An additional fee of $3 USD is applied on Sundays, official holidays, and between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM. The ride takes about 15-20 minutes.
Public Transport

While public buses are available, they may require transfers and are less direct than taxis. From the airport, take Arubus Route 1 to the central bus station in Oranjestad, then transfer to a bus heading towards Palm Beach. A one-way fare is approximately $3 USD. The total journey can take 45-60 minutes.

Spanish explorer Alonso de Ojeda arrived in 1499, followed by the Dutch in 1636, who controlled the island for many years, with brief interruptions. Tourism began to take hold in the mid-20th century, with the first tourist office opening in 1947 and the first hotel, Hotel Basi-Ruti, established in 1957.Today, Palm Beach is a bustling tourist center, featuring high-rise hotels, casinos, shopping malls like Paseo Herencia and Palm Beach Plaza Mall, and a wide array of restaurants and bars.
