Parking is free at the entrance to the beach, though spaces can be limited. Street parking is also available. There are no tolls on this route.

Taxis are readily available in San Nicolas. A taxi from San Nicolas to Boca Grandi will cost approximately $15-$20. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. The ride is short, about 5 minutes.

Public Transport

From the main bus terminal in San Nicolas, take a bus towards Sero Colorado. Inquire with the driver to ensure the bus stops near Boca Grandi. The bus fare is around $2 USD. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the beach. Check the bus schedule for return times.

Boca Grandi, aptly named 'Big Mouth' for its wide, half-circle shape, is located on the southeastern tip of Aruba, close to the popular Baby Beach. This beach is a Caribbean paradise for advanced kite surfers and enthusiastic spectators, characterized by its long stretch of white sand and steady trade winds.The consistent onshore winds create an ideal environment for kitesurfing, attracting both locals and visitors. The strong currents, however, make swimming inadvisable. Instead, visitors can enjoy beachcombing, discovering driftwood, corals, and other curiosities washed ashore by the ocean. A quaint beach bar has recently been added, offering chilled drinks.Boca Grandi is easily accessible by car and is a short drive from San Nicolas, Aruba's second-largest city. A giant red anchor marks the entrance to the beach, providing a unique photo opportunity. While the beach itself offers few amenities, its natural beauty and thrilling kitesurfing action make it a worthwhile stop.
