4.7

Mangel Halto is a must-visit destination for those seeking tranquility and natural beauty away from the bustling tourist crowds. Located in Pos Chiquito, south of the airport, this beach is a haven for snorkelers and divers, boasting calm, crystal-clear waters teeming with colorful fish and diverse coral formations. The intriguing network of mangroves surrounding the beach adds to its unique charm, providing shaded areas and a sense of seclusion. The beach offers various access points to the water, including a sandy beach area, a wooden sun deck, staircases, and entry through the mangroves. The shallow waters near the shore are perfect for beginner snorkelers, while more experienced divers can explore the outer reef, which plunges to depths of 110 feet and is home to octopi, morays, and barracuda. A small shipwreck adds to the underwater allure, attracting a variety of marine species. While Mangel Halto provides a serene escape, amenities are minimal. There are a few palapas offering shade, but no restrooms, changing facilities, or rental shops are available. Visitors should bring their own food, drinks, and snorkeling gear. The nearby Mangel Halto Bar offers a local spot to grab a cold beer and enjoy some food.
