Getting There

• Walking

  From the central Oranjestad area (e.g., Royal Plaza Mall), head southeast on Zoutmanstraat. The Museo Historico Aruba will be on your left, just past Fort Zoutman. The walk is generally flat and takes about 5-10 minutes. No costs are involved.

• Public Transport

  From locations outside downtown Oranjestad, take the Arubus to the central bus station. From there, walk southeast on Zoutmanstraat for 10-15 minutes. The Museo Historico Aruba will be on your left, just past Fort Zoutman. A single bus fare is approximately 2.00 AWG.

• Taxi

  Taxis are readily available throughout Oranjestad. A short taxi ride from the cruise terminal or hotels in the downtown area to Museo Historico Aruba will typically cost between 15-25 AWG. Ensure the taxi driver is aware of the location, GX97+4P3, Zoutmanstraat.

• Car

  From the main road (e.g., J.E. Irausquin Blvd) follow signs to Oranjestad. Once in Oranjestad, turn onto Zoutmanstraat. The Museo Historico Aruba will be on your right. Paid parking is available nearby. Parking is enforced Mon-Sat 9 AM to 7 PM. Rates are approximately 2 AWG per hour.
