Public Transport - Train
To reach Old Government House in Belair, start by heading to the Adelaide Railway Station located at 125 North Terrace. From there, take the Belair Train Line (towards Belair) which leaves regularly throughout the day. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Belair Station. Once you exit the station, turn right onto Main Road, and continue walking for about 800 meters. You will see Queens Jubilee Drive on your left. Turn left onto Queens Jubilee Drive, and after a short walk, you will arrive at Old Government House.
Public Transport - Bus
Begin your journey at the Adelaide Central Bus Station located on Currie Street. You will need to take a bus that goes towards Belair. Look for bus routes 196 or 197, which head to Belair. The ride will take around 40 minutes. Ask the driver to let you know when to get off at the stop named 'Belair.' Once you disembark, walk towards Main Road and take a left. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach Queens Jubilee Drive. Turn right onto Queens Jubilee Drive, and you'll find Old Government House.
Walking
If you are staying in the nearby area of Belair, you can enjoy a scenic walk to Old Government House. Start from the Belair National Park entrance, head towards the main picnic area, and follow the signs leading to Queens Jubilee Drive. The distance from the park entrance to Old Government House is about 1.5 kilometers and will take approximately 20-30 minutes to walk. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings as you make your way there!
