From Airlie Beach Main Street, head towards the Whitsunday Shopping Centre. Once at the shopping centre, locate Shute Harbour Road, which is the main road leading out of the town. Follow Shute Harbour Road for about 2.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Mount Rooper Road. Turn left onto Mount Rooper Road. The road will incline, and you will continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signage indicating the lookout trail. The path will lead you to the Mt Rooper Lookout, where you can enjoy breathtaking views.

Take the local bus service from Airlie Beach Main Street that heads towards Shute Harbour. Ensure you ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Mount Rooper Road.
