Discover more about Murray Street Vineyards

Murray Street Vineyards, a relative newcomer to the Barossa Valley, was founded in 2001 by Bill Jahnke and Andrew Seppelt with a vision to honor the Barossa's winemaking heritage while embracing modern techniques. The vineyard is located on the Western Ridge of the Barossa Valley, near the charming hamlet of Greenock. Murray Street Vineyards quickly gained recognition, being named Barossa Valley Winery of the Year at the Melbourne International Wine Competition and earning a five-star rating from James Halliday. The estate spans 81 hectares, with hillside vineyards hosting mature plantings of Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Semillon, some dating back fifty years. The winery uses environmentally conscious practices, including regenerating eroded creek beds with native vegetation. Visitors can enjoy a tasting experience in the Greenock tasting room, known as the “Best Cellar Door in Barossa”. The charming bluestone buildings, built in 2004, draw inspiration from early Barossa architecture. The vineyard is known for its Black Label range, which highlights the unique characteristics of Barossa varietals.
