If you are driving, start by getting onto Main Street in your current location within Barossa Valley. Follow signs for the North-South Motorway (A20) heading south. Once on the A20, continue for about 19 kilometers until you reach the exit for Williamstown. Take the exit toward Williamstown and merge onto Williamstown Road. Continue on Williamstown Road for about 4 kilometers until you see signs for Barossa Reservoir. Turn right onto Reservoir Road and follow it for approximately 1 kilometer to reach the Barossa Reservoir. There is no entry fee for the reservoir.

To reach Barossa Reservoir via public transport, you will first need to take a bus from your location in Barossa Valley to the nearest major town with bus services, such as Tanunda or Nuriootpa. Check the local bus schedules for the best route. From either Tanunda or Nuriootpa, take the bus towards Williamstown. Once you arrive in Williamstown, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Barossa Reservoir, which is about a 4-kilometer distance from the town center. Be sure to check the local bus schedules as they may vary by day and time. A typical bus fare ranges from AUD 3 to AUD 5.
