Getting there

Car

If you're traveling by car, the easiest route to Hazel Falls is to start from Katoomba. Head west on the Great Western Highway (A32) for approximately 10 km. Take the turnoff towards Mount Victoria and continue along Mount Victoria Road. Follow the signs for the Blue Mountains National Park, and after about 5 km, turn onto the Hazel Falls Walking Track. There is a parking area at the beginning of the track. Be sure to check for any parking fees which may apply.

Public Transportation

If you're using public transport, take a train from Sydney to Katoomba Station. The journey takes about 2 hours. From Katoomba Station, you can catch a bus towards Mount Victoria. Check the local bus schedules as they may vary. Get off at the nearest stop to Hazel Falls Walking Track. From the bus stop, it is about a 1.5 km walk to the entrance of the walking track. Be prepared for some uphill walking. Also, ensure you have some coins or a travel card for the bus fare.

Walking

For those already in the vicinity of Hazel Falls, you can access the walking track by starting from the nearest trailhead. Ensure you wear sturdy shoes and bring enough water. The walking track is well-marked, but be cautious as it can be steep in some areas. The total distance from the trailhead to the falls is approximately 2 km and should take about 30-45 minutes to reach, depending on your pace.
