Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Leura Cascades Picnic Area on Chelmsford Drive, follow the well-formed Leura Cascades Track. It's approximately 0.5km to the upper lookout and 0.8km to the base of the falls. The path is well-signed, but be prepared for some stairs and uneven surfaces. Allow approximately 45-50 minutes for a return trip to the upper lookout, or 1 hour 40 minutes for the full circuit to the base of the falls.

  • Public Transport

    From Katoomba Station, take bus 685, 690K, 695, or 697 to the corner of Merriwa Street and Carrington Avenue in Leura. From there, it's a short walk to the Leura Cascades Picnic Area, the starting point for the Bridal Veil Falls trail. A single bus fare costs around $2.40 - $3.50 AUD.

  • Driving

    From Katoomba, follow the signs to Leura. Turn onto Leura Mall, then right onto Gordon Road, which becomes Cliff Drive. The Leura Cascades car park is about 1km along Cliff Drive. Parking is free, but can be limited during peak season. As of July 2025, there are no parking fees.
