Walking
If you're starting from Brisbane's Central Station, exit the station and head towards the Queen Street Mall. Once you reach the mall, walk straight through it until you reach Albert Street. Turn right onto Albert Street and continue walking until you reach the Brisbane River. At the river, turn left and follow the riverbank where you'll find the River Walk. It is approximately a 20-minute walk.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the Brisbane Central Station, you can catch a bus towards Eagle Street. Look for bus routes that stop at Eagle Street or Brisbane City. Once you arrive at the Eagle Street stop, walk towards the riverbank, and you will find the River Walk nearby. The bus ride typically takes about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
Public Transport (CityCat Ferry)
Head to the nearest CityCat ferry terminal, such as the one at North Quay. Purchase a ticket and board a CityCat heading towards Hamilton or Sydney Street. Disembark at the Eagle Street terminal. From there, walk towards the riverbank and you'll find the River Walk just a short distance away. The ferry ride is scenic and lasts about 10 minutes.
Walking from South Bank
If you are at South Bank, walk across the Goodwill Bridge towards the city. Once you reach the northern end of the bridge, turn left and walk along the riverfront. You will soon come across the River Walk. This route offers beautiful views of the river and city skyline and takes about 15-20 minutes.
