From the centre of New Farm, head northwest on Brunswick Street towards the intersection with Merthyr Road. Continue straight onto the footpath along Merthyr Road until you reach the intersection with Breakfast Creek Road. Turn left onto Breakfast Creek Road. Continue walking for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Newstead Avenue. Newstead House is located in Newstead Park at the corner of Breakfast Creek Road and Newstead Avenue. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes.
Public Transport - Bus

If you prefer to take public transport, catch the bus from any bus stop along Brunswick Street. Look for bus route 195, which goes towards the city and stops at the corner of Breakfast Creek Road and Newstead Avenue. The bus ride is about 10 minutes.
