Getting There

Bus
To reach Barron Falls from Cairns, start at the Cairns Central Station. Take the TransLink bus number 110 or 111, which goes to Kuranda. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. You will want to get off at the stop for 'Kuranda'. Once you arrive in Kuranda, follow signs to the Barron Falls lookout, which is approximately a 20-minute walk along Coondoo Street. The falls are located in Centenary Park.

Another scenic option is to take the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, which departs from the Smithfield terminal. The cableway ride offers stunning views of the rainforest and Barron Falls. After disembarking at the Kuranda station, you'll be just a short walk away from the Barron Falls lookout. Follow the signs towards Centenary Park, which will take about 15-20 minutes.

Alternatively, you can take the Kuranda Scenic Railway from Cairns. Depart from the Cairns Railway Station, and the train journey takes about 1.5 hours.
