Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the Cairns Central area, head towards the Esplanade. Start at the Cairns Central Shopping Centre and exit onto McLeod Street. Turn left and continue walking until you reach the Esplanade. Once you are on the Esplanade, walk north along the waterfront until you reach the Cairns Esplanade Lagoon located at 52/54 Esplanade, Cairns City. The lagoon is easily identifiable by its large swimming area and surrounding parklands.

• Public Transport - Bus

  From any location in Cairns, you can catch a local bus that heads towards the Esplanade. Look for buses that have stops at 'Cairns Esplanade' or 'Cairns City'. The closest bus stop to the lagoon is located on the Esplanade itself. Once you disembark the bus, walk towards the lagoon, which is located at 52/54 Esplanade, Cairns City. It's only a short walk from the bus stop.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride along the dedicated Esplanade bike path. Start from wherever you are in Cairns and navigate towards the Esplanade. Follow the bike path that runs parallel to the waterfront until you reach 52/54 Esplanade, Cairns City, where the lagoon is located. There are bike racks available for parking.
