Getting There

• Bus

  From the Cairns Central Station, catch the Sunbus service number 110, which heads towards Palm Cove. The bus runs every half hour. Stay on the bus until you reach the Palm Cove stop; this should take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you disembark, you will be on Williams Esplanade. Walk towards the beach, and you will see the Palm Cove Jetty directly ahead.

• Shuttle Service

  Consider using a shuttle service from Cairns to Palm Cove. Various shuttle services operate from the airport and the city center. You can book a seat online or through your hotel. The ride usually takes around 30 minutes, and you will be dropped off near the Palm Cove Jetty at Williams Esplanade.

• Bicycle

  If you enjoy cycling, rent a bike from one of the local shops in Cairns. Follow the scenic coastal bike path along the Captain Cook Highway heading north. The ride to Palm Cove takes about an hour and offers beautiful views of the coastline. Once you arrive in Palm Cove, head towards Williams Esplanade, and you will find the jetty at the beach.

• Walking

  For the adventurous, you can walk from Cairns to Palm Cove, which is approximately a 25 km trek. Head north along the coast through the Cairns Esplanade, past the northern beaches. It’s a long walk, so ensure you have plenty of water and sun protection. Once you reach Palm Cove, the jetty is located at the end of Williams Esplanade.
