If you are in the heart of Braddon, you can easily walk to Haig Park. Start by heading north on Lonsdale Street. As you walk, you’ll pass various cafes and shops, so it’s a great opportunity to explore the local vibe. After about 10 minutes of walking, take a left onto Torrens Street. Continue straight for about 5 minutes, and you will see the entrance to Haig Park on your right.
Public Transport - Bus
For those preferring not to walk, you can take a bus to reach Haig Park. Check the ACTION bus services; the nearest bus stop is on Lonsdale Street. Board a bus heading towards Gungahlin or Belconnen. After a few stops (approximately 5-10 minutes depending on the bus), get off at the stop on Torrens Street. From there, it’s a short walk (about 3 minutes) to the park entrance. Be sure to have a MyWay card for bus fare, which costs around AUD 4.00 for a single trip.
