If you are driving to Mount Sorrow Trail, start from the Cape Tribulation village. Head north on the Captain Cook Highway (State Route 44) for about 5 kilometers. Look for Rykers Road on your left, where you'll see signage for Mount Sorrow Trail. Turn onto Rykers Road and continue for approximately 1 kilometer. The trailhead will be on your left, at 152-90 Rykers Rd. There is limited parking available near the trailhead, so be sure to arrive early, especially during peak tourist seasons.

Public Transportation
For those using public transport, take a bus from Port Douglas to Cape Tribulation. The bus service is operated by the local transport provider, and tickets can be purchased from the driver (expect to pay around AUD 30 one-way). Once you arrive in Cape Tribulation, you can either walk or take a taxi to the trailhead. Walking from the village to Mount Sorrow Trailhead is about a 20-minute hike. Follow the main road south toward Rykers Road, then turn left onto Rykers Road. The trailhead is located approximately 1 kilometer down this road. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited.

Bicycle
For a more adventurous approach, consider renting a bicycle in Cape Tribulation. Many local shops offer bicycle rentals for about AUD 20 per day. To reach Mount Sorrow Trail, cycle north on the Captain Cook Highway for about 5 kilometers, then turn left onto Rykers Road. Continue cycling for about 1 kilometer until you reach the trailhead on your left. Be cautious of traffic and remember to wear a helmet for safety.
