If you're traveling by car, start from the Central Coast area and head towards the M1 Pacific Motorway. You can enter the motorway at various points depending on your location. Once on the M1, follow the signs for Newcastle. Take Exit 33 towards Swansea and continue on the Pacific Highway (A43). Turn right onto the Old Pacific Highway and follow the signs for Blacksmiths. Continue until you see the signs for Blacksmith Breakwater, which is located at the end of the road near the beach. There is free parking available near the breakwater.

To reach Blacksmith Breakwater via public transport, catch a train from Central Coast to Newcastle Interchange. From there, take the Route 23 bus towards Swansea. Get off at the stop nearest to Blacksmiths Beach. After you get off the bus, it's a short 10-minute walk to the Blacksmith Breakwater. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as services may vary, and prepare for a small fare for both train and bus rides, which can total around AUD 8-12 depending on your departure point.
