If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards the Pacific Motorway (M1). From Sydney, take the M1 northbound. If you're coming from Newcastle, take the M1 southbound. Exit at Cessnock Road (Exit 33) towards Catherine Hill Bay. Follow Cessnock Road until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Catherine Hill Bay Road. Continue until you reach the end of the road, where you'll find parking available at the beach. From the parking area, follow the path leading to Shark Hole, which is approximately a 10-minute walk along the coastline.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train from Sydney to Morisset Station on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line. From Morisset Station, catch a bus to Catherine Hill Bay. Once you arrive at the bus stop in Catherine Hill Bay, walk towards the beach and look for the path that leads to Shark Hole. The walk will take about 10 minutes. Please check the local bus schedule for times and connections, as they can vary.
Walking
If you're already in the vicinity of Catherine Hill Bay, you can simply walk to Shark Hole. Head towards the beach from the centre of the village. Once at the beach, look for the path that takes you along the coastline. The walk is scenic and provides great views, taking about 10 minutes to reach Shark Hole.
