From Melbourne, take the M1 highway (Princes Freeway) heading west. Continue on the M1 until you reach the town of Geelong. From Geelong, follow the signs for the A1 (Great Ocean Road). Stay on the A1, passing through towns such as Torquay, Anglesea, and Lorne. Continue until you reach Apollo Bay, then follow the signs to the Great Ocean Road (B100) towards Port Campbell. Once in Port Campbell, drive along the Great Ocean Road for approximately 10 minutes until you reach Loch Ard Gorge. There is parking available at the site, which is generally free.
