Getting There

  • Car

    From Melbourne, take the M1 (Princes Freeway) towards Geelong. Continue on M1 for approximately 1.5 hours until you reach the town of Colac. Take the exit towards Colac-Cressy Road, then follow the signs to Camperdown. In Camperdown, follow the signs to Port Campbell via the C164. Continue on C164 until you reach Peterborough. Once in Peterborough, look for The Grotto Track sign. Turn onto The Grotto Track, and follow it for about 3 km until you reach the parking area near The Grotto. Note: Parking is free.

  • Public Transportation

    Take a V/Line train from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne to Warrnambool. The journey takes approximately 3 hours. From Warrnambool, catch the V/Line bus to Port Campbell. The bus ride takes about 1 hour. Once in Port Campbell, you can either walk or take a taxi to The Grotto, which is around 10 km away. Ensure to check the V/Line schedule in advance as it may vary. Bus fares are approximately $10-$15 AUD one way, and train fares vary based on the booking time.
