    Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from any location in Central West and head towards the Royal National Park. Use the M4 motorway and then take the A1 south towards Wollongong. From Wollongong, follow the signs to the Royal National Park. Once you enter the park, continue on Sir Bertram Stevens Drive until you reach the parking area near the Figure Eight Pools. Note that there is a parking fee of approximately AUD 12 for a day pass, which can be paid via a mobile app or at the parking meter.

    Public Transportation

    For those using public transport, take a train from Central West to Waterfall Station on the South Coast Line. From Waterfall Station, you will need to catch Bus 989 towards Bundeena. Get off at the 'Bundeena Road' stop, and from there, it is about a 30-minute walk (3.5 km) to the Figure Eight Pools. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the trail can be rocky and uneven. There may be costs for both the train (approximately AUD 8) and the bus (around AUD 4).
