    From the Darwin Bus Interchange, take bus route 4 or 10. Route 4 will drop you off near the Gardens Road entrance, while route 10 will bring you closer to the Geranium Street entrance. Both entrances provide access to different areas within the gardens. As of July 2025, all public bus services in Darwin are free.

    Taxis and ride-share services are readily available in Darwin. A taxi from the Darwin CBD to the Botanic Gardens will cost approximately $14 - $25 AUD, depending on traffic and the time of day. Night-time surcharges may apply. Ask your driver to drop you off at either the Gardens Road or Geranium Street entrance.

    The George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens are located approximately 2km north of the Darwin CBD. From the city center, walk north along the Esplanade, then turn left onto Gilruth Avenue. Continue onto Gardens Road. The main entrance and visitor parking is located on Gardens Road. The walk should take approximately 30-40 minutes.
