Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Wilsons Promontory National Park. From Melbourne, take the M1 freeway towards Cowes. After approximately 90 minutes, take the exit for South Gippsland Highway (A440) towards Leongatha. Continue on A440 until you reach Foster. From Foster, follow the signs to Wilsons Promontory, taking the Wilsons Promontory Road. Once you arrive at the entrance of the national park, there is an entry fee of approximately AUD 17 per vehicle (valid for 24 hours). After entering the park, follow the main road until you reach the Vereker Outlook car park. The walk from the car park to the lookout takes around 30 minutes.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a V/Line train from Melbourne to Leongatha. The journey takes around 2.5 hours. From Leongatha, you can catch a bus to Foster (check local schedules for availability). Once in Foster, you will need to arrange a taxi or a rideshare service to take you to Wilsons Promontory National Park, as public transport options may be limited. Remember to check the Wilsons Promontory entry fee of approximately AUD 17 per vehicle upon arrival. After entering the park, follow the main road to the Vereker Outlook car park, where you can embark on the walking trail to the lookout.
