Car
If you're driving to Barron Falls, head towards Kuranda from Cairns. Take the Captain Cook Highway (A1) north out of Cairns, then take the exit for the Kennedy Highway (A1) towards Kuranda. After approximately 25 kilometers, turn left onto Coondoo Street in Kuranda. Follow this road until you reach Centenary Park, where you will find parking available nearby. Note that parking may incur a small fee, usually around AUD 5-10 depending on the duration of your stay.
Public Transport (Bus)
To reach Barron Falls via public transport, catch the bus from Cairns to Kuranda. The bus service is provided by TransLink, and you can catch the bus from Cairns Central Station. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Kuranda, exit the bus and walk along Coondoo Street towards Centenary Park. The falls are within a short walking distance from the bus stop. Be prepared for a short uphill walk to the viewing areas.
Skyrail Rainforest Cableway
For a unique experience, consider taking the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway from Smithfield to Kuranda. This scenic cableway offers stunning views of the rainforest and Barron Falls.
