Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Cape Tribulation, begin your journey by heading south on the Cape Tribulation Road. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers (about 40 minutes) until you reach the junction at Daintree River. At this junction, follow the signs to the Daintree Ferry. The ferry operates from 5 AM to 8 PM daily, and there is a fee for crossing the river, so be prepared for this additional cost (approximately AUD 30 for a standard vehicle). After crossing the river, continue on the same road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the Daintree Gateway, which will be on your left.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can take a shuttle bus from Cape Tribulation to Mossman. This shuttle service typically runs several times a day and will drop you off in Mossman, where you can connect to a bus service heading to the Daintree Ferry. Make sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time as they can vary. Once you arrive at the Daintree Ferry, you will need to pay the crossing fee (approximately AUD 30) to get to the other side. Once you have crossed the river, you can either walk or take a taxi for the remaining 5 kilometers to reach Daintree Gateway.
