  If you're traveling by car within Fraser Island, start from Kingfisher Bay Resort or any other point on the island. Head towards the ferry terminal at Kingfisher Bay and take the ferry to River Heads on the mainland. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at River Heads, follow the signs to the Bruce Highway (A1) and head north towards Hervey Bay. After about 15 minutes, take the exit toward Dundowran Beach (Brennan Park, Sawmill Rd). The beach is about a 5-minute drive from the highway. Look for signs indicating Brennan Park, and you will find access to Dundowran Beach.

  If you prefer public transport, take a bus from Hervey Bay to Dundowran Beach. From the ferry terminal at River Heads, you can catch a bus to Hervey Bay. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Once in Hervey Bay, transfer to a local bus service that goes to Dundowran Beach. Make sure to check the local bus schedules for times and routes, as they may vary. The bus stop closest to Dundowran Beach is near Brennan Park, and from there, it's a short walk to the beach itself.

  Another convenient option is to use a taxi or rideshare service from Hervey Bay. After taking the ferry from Fraser Island to River Heads, you can get a taxi directly to Dundowran Beach. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Rideshare apps like Uber are also available in the area, providing a flexible and hassle-free way to reach your destination.
