4WD Vehicle
If you're traveling by 4WD vehicle on Fraser Island, start from the town of Kingfisher Bay. Take the main access road heading north on the island, following the signs for Dundubara Sunrover Campsite. The campsite is approximately 32 kilometers from Kingfisher Bay. Along the way, you will navigate through the lush rainforest and sandy tracks. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating the Dundubara area. As you approach, the road may become a bit rough, so maintain a slow and steady speed. The campsite is located near the eastern beach, so make sure to look for the camping area that is well-marked.
Public Bus
If you are using public transportation, catch the Fraser Explorer bus from your accommodation or nearby bus stop in the island's main areas such as Kingfisher Bay or Eurong Beach. Ensure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may not run frequently. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Dundubara. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your starting point. Once you arrive at the Dundubara drop-off point, follow the signs to the campsite, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
