If you are traveling by car, start from any location on Fraser Island and head towards the ferry terminal at River Heads. The drive to River Heads will take about 30 minutes from locations like Kingfisher Bay or Eurong Beach. Once at the ferry terminal, take the ferry to Hervey Bay, which costs approximately AUD 40 per vehicle and takes about 30 minutes. After disembarking in Hervey Bay, follow the signs to Urangan by taking Elizabeth Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Boat Harbour Drive; turn left, and then follow the road until you see signs for Urangan Pier. The pier is located at the end of the road.

Check the local bus schedules for departure times. The bus ride to River Heads takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive, purchase a ferry ticket to Hervey Bay (approximately AUD 15 one-way). Upon arrival in Hervey Bay, you can either walk to Urangan Pier (about 30 minutes on foot) or take a local bus (No. 1 or No. 2) that runs regularly to Urangan.
