Experience Hazards Beach

Getting There

  • Car

    From the Freycinet National Park Visitor Centre, head southeast on Coles Bay Road towards the Coles Bay township. Continue on Coles Bay Road for about 7 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for the Hazards Beach car park. Look for the sign indicating Hazards Beach. Turn left onto Hazards Beach Road, which will lead you directly to the car park. There is no entry fee for the car park, but you may need to pay for park entry if you haven't already (around AUD 25 per vehicle). Once parked, follow the walking track from the car park to Hazards Beach, which is approximately a 30-minute walk.

  • Public Transportation

    If you're using public transport, catch the bus from Hobart to Coles Bay, which operates daily. Once you arrive in Coles Bay, you will need to walk to the Freycinet National Park Visitor Centre (about 2 km). From there, follow the same directions as those traveling by car: head southeast on Coles Bay Road for about 7 kilometers to the Hazards Beach car park. You will still need to walk the 30-minute track to Hazards Beach from the car park. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as services may vary.
