From Surfers Paradise, walk to the nearest bus stop on Gold Coast Highway. Board a bus heading south towards Tweed Heads (look for routes 700 or 765). Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes. Disembark at the 'Tweed Heads Post Office' stop. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk. Head east on Wharf Street, then turn left onto Bay Street. Continue until you reach the Captain Cook Memorial and Lighthouse, located near the water.
Light Rail and Bus
Take the G:link light rail from Surfers Paradise to the 'Broadbeach South' station. Transfer to bus 700 or 765 heading towards Tweed Heads. Ride for about 30 minutes and get off at 'Tweed Heads Post Office'. Walk east along Wharf Street, then turn left onto Bay Street to reach the Captain Cook Memorial and Lighthouse.
