Driving
The Springbrook Research Observatory is located at 2337 Springbrook Rd, Springbrook. From the Gold Coast, take the Nerang-Murwillumbah Road. Turn left onto Pine Creek Road, then right onto Springbrook Road. The observatory is approximately 5km from this turn, and is well signposted. Be aware that the roads leading to the observatory can be twisty. Parking is available on-site. There are no tolls on this route.

From the Gold Coast, take a bus from the Gold Coast University Hospital stop (Route 740) towards Springbrook National Park. Get off at the nearest stop to Springbrook Research Observatory. From the bus stop, walk up Springbrook Road for around 15-20 minutes to reach the observatory at 2337 Springbrook Rd. A single bus fare is approximately $5-$7 AUD. Alternatively, take a train from the Gold Coast to Nerang Station. From Nerang Station, transfer to a bus (Route 746) heading towards Springbrook. After about 30 minutes on the bus, get off at the nearest stop to Springbrook Research Observatory. From the bus stop, walk up Springbrook Road for around 15-20 minutes to reach your destination.
