Getting There

    From Burleigh Heads Beach, walk south along The Esplanade until you reach the Burleigh Head National Park entrance. Follow the signs towards Tumgun Lookout, which is approximately a 30-minute walk through coastal bushland. Note that the path has some steep sections. There is no cost associated with walking to the lookout.

  • Public Transport

    Take bus 700, 753, 754, 757, 764, or 765 to the Burleigh Heads National Park stop. From there, it's a short walk to the park entrance. Follow the walking path towards Tumgun Lookout. A single bus fare typically costs around AUD 3-5, depending on the travel zone.

  • Driving

    Drive to the northern entrance of Burleigh Head National Park by turning off the Gold Coast Highway into Goodwin Terrace. Limited parking is available at the end of Goodwin Terrace. Alternatively, access the southern entrance by turning off the Gold Coast Highway at the traffic lights north of Tallebudgera Creek. Parking is also limited at the Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Parking is free, but can be difficult to find during peak times. Be aware that parking restrictions may apply.
