From any point in Main Beach, head towards the beach by following the nearest path to the shoreline. If you are near the Gold Coast Highway, walk east towards the ocean until you reach the beach. Pelican Beach is located just south of the main beach area, so once you reach the water, turn left (south) and walk along the beach. It is approximately a 10-15 minute walk.
Public Transport (Bus)
If you are further from the beach, you can take the local bus service. Find the nearest bus stop on the Gold Coast Highway. Board a bus heading towards Southport or the Broadwater. The fare for a single journey is approximately AUD 4.00 to AUD 5.00, depending on the distance. Get off at the stop closest to Main Beach, then follow the walking directions to the beach as mentioned above.
