Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards the town of Halls Gap. From the Grampians National Park, take the Grampians Road (C216) towards Halls Gap. Once you reach Halls Gap, follow the signs to Ararat-Halls Gap Road (C222). Continue on this road for about 1.5 kilometers. Halls Gap Zoo will be on your left at 4061 Ararat-Halls Gap Rd, Halls Gap VIC 3381. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, take a bus from Stawell or Ararat to Halls Gap. The bus service operates regularly, but it's advisable to check the timetable ahead of your visit. Upon arrival at the Halls Gap bus stop, you can either walk approximately 2 kilometers to the zoo, which is a pleasant 25-minute walk, or consider using a local taxi service for a quicker option. Make sure to confirm the taxi fare beforehand.
Walking from Halls Gap
If you are already in Halls Gap, the zoo is a short walk from the town center. From the main street in Halls Gap, walk towards Ararat-Halls Gap Road (C222). Turn left onto the road and walk for about 1.5 kilometers. Halls Gap Zoo will be on your left. The walk offers scenic views of the surrounding area, so take your time and enjoy the natural beauty.
