Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest town, Port Campbell. Head southwest on Campbell Street, then turn right onto Great Ocean Road/A1. Continue to follow A1 for about 12 kilometers. Turn left onto Peterborough Road, and then take a right at the first intersection onto Bay of Islands Track. The Great Ship is located at the end of this road, right in the Bay Of Islands area. There is no parking fee, but ensure to adhere to any parking regulations.
Public Transportation
To reach The Great Ship via public transportation, you can take a bus from Warrnambool to Peterborough. Buses operated by V/Line run this route. Check the timetable for specific departure times. Once you arrive at Peterborough, you will need to walk approximately 3 kilometers to The Great Ship. Follow the signs towards Bay of Islands Track, as this will lead you directly to the attraction. Be prepared for a pleasant walk through scenic landscapes. As of now, the bus fare is approximately AUD 15, but confirm with the latest fare information.
Bicycle
For those adventurous enough to cycle, you can rent a bike in Port Campbell. From there, take the same route as the car guidance. The ride will be about 12 kilometers along the coastal roads, which is quite scenic but may have some hilly areas. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow road safety rules. There are no specific bike rental fees; however, make sure to return the bike as per the rental agreement.
