Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the Hobart city center, start at Elizabeth Street, which is a main thoroughfare. Head south towards the waterfront. Walk down to Salamanca Place, a vibrant area with restaurants and shops. From Salamanca Place, continue walking south towards the Battery Point area. Look for signs directing you to the Battery Point Sculpture Trail. As you walk, you will enjoy views of the waterfront. Keep walking along the coastline until you reach the start of the Battery Point Sculpture Trail, which is located near the intersection of Battery Point. The trail features several sculptures and offers scenic views of the harbor.

  From the Hobart city center, you can catch a bus at the Elizabeth Street Bus Station. Look for buses heading towards Battery Point or South Hobart. The bus route will take you through the city and into the Battery Point area. Get off at the nearest stop to the Battery Point Sculpture Trail, which is typically the stop at the corner of Colville Street and the waterfront. From there, it's a short walk to the beginning of the sculpture trail. Follow the signs directing you to the trail, where you can explore the various sculptures along the path.

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Hobart. Start your ride from the city center and head towards the waterfront. Follow the cycle paths along the waterfront heading south towards Battery Point. The ride is scenic and provides beautiful views of the harbor. As you approach Battery Point, look for signs for the Battery Point Sculpture Trail. There are bike racks available at the start of the trail, making it easy to park your bike and explore on foot.
