Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Salamanca Place, head north on Castray Esplanade towards Davey Street. Turn left onto Davey Street, then follow it until you reach the intersection with the Tasman Highway (A3). Turn right onto the Tasman Highway and continue walking for about 3 kilometers. You will see Tasman Bridge ahead, which spans the Derwent River. Cross over to Montagu Bay to reach the base of the bridge.

    From the Hobart waterfront, walk towards Elizabeth Street and follow it until you reach the intersection with the Tasman Highway (A3). Turn right and continue walking for approximately 2 kilometers. As you approach the bridge, follow the pedestrian path on the left side to reach the Montagu Bay area, where you can explore the bridge's surroundings.

    Catch the Metro Tasmania bus route 612 or 613 from the Hobart City Interchange. The bus will take you along the Tasman Highway. You should disembark at the Montagu Bay stop, which is located close to the Tasman Bridge. From there, it's a short walk towards the bridge, just a few minutes away.
