    If you are driving to Lake Illawarra, start from the center of Wollongong. Head south on Crown Street toward Kiera Street. Continue onto the A1 highway (Princes Highway), following signs for Sydney. After approximately 15 kilometers, take the exit toward Lake Illawarra. Merge onto Lake Entrance Road, and follow the road until you reach the lake. There is parking available along the waterfront areas.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    To reach Lake Illawarra via bus, start at Wollongong Station. Board the bus route 55 towards Shellharbour. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Disembark at the stop for Lake Illawarra, which is near the southern end of the lake. From there, you can walk to the waterfront areas to enjoy the views.

  • Public Transportation - Train and Bus

    If you are near a train station, take a train from your location to Wollongong Station. Once you arrive at Wollongong, transfer to bus route 55 towards Shellharbour.
