    The Guluyambi Cultural Cruise departs from the Upstream Boat Ramp on the East Alligator River. From Jabiru, drive 5km west on the Arnhem Highway towards Darwin. Turn right onto the Oenpelli Road and drive north for 36km to the East Alligator District. Turn right after the sign to the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise and Upstream Boat Ramp (East Alligator River); the turnoff is about 400 meters before the Border Store. The road is sealed all the way. There are no entrance fees to Kakadu National Park, but a park pass is required and can be obtained online free of charge. As of July 2025, there are no fuel stations or public transport options directly at the Upstream Boat Ramp. Fuel is available in Jabiru. Parking at the boat ramp is free, but can be limited during peak season.
