Bus
From Kingscote, take the Kangaroo Island Coachlines bus service towards Penneshaw. Ensure you check the schedule ahead of time. The bus will take you along the main road (South Coast Road) towards Penneshaw. Get off at the Penneshaw stop. From there, you will need to walk to the ferry terminal and take a local taxi or rideshare service to reach Cape Willoughby Conservation Park. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes.
Bicycle
If you are in Penneshaw, rent a bicycle from a local shop. Head east on North Terrace towards the North Coast Road. Follow North Coast Road until you reach South Coast Road. Turn left onto South Coast Road and continue straight. Follow the road until you see signs for Cape Willoughby Conservation Park. The ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your cycling speed.
Walking
If you are near the town of American River, you can walk to Cape Willoughby Conservation Park. Start at the American River Jetty and follow the walking trail along the coastline. This scenic route will lead you through beautiful landscapes. The walk will take approximately 3 to 4 hours, so bring water and snacks along the way.
