Car
To reach Lindsay Island by car, start from the town of Mildura in Mallee. Head southwest on Deakin Ave toward 15th St/Walsh Ave. Continue on the Sturt Highway (A20) for approximately 40 km. Turn left onto the Murray-Sunset National Park Road and follow the signs towards Lindsay Island. The park entry is well-marked. Once inside the park, follow the signs to the camping area, which is approximately 10 km from the entrance.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Mildura to the nearby town of Ouyen. From Ouyen, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Murray-Sunset National Park entrance. The taxi ride from Ouyen to the park entrance is about 35 km and may cost around AUD 60-80. Once at the park entrance, follow the signs to Lindsay Island, which is about 10 km from the entrance.
Bicycle
For the adventurous traveler, consider cycling to Lindsay Island. If you are starting from Mildura, take the Sturt Highway (A20) south and enjoy the scenic views. The distance to the park entrance is about 40 km, and you will need to be cautious of traffic. Once you reach the park, follow the internal roads to reach Lindsay Island, which is approximately 10 km inside the park.
