Take the exit towards the C192, which leads to the town of Allansford. Continue on the C192 until you reach the river. There are signs indicating the turn-off to the Hopkins River; make sure to look out for them. Once you arrive, you will find a boat ramp, toilets, and a small pier for fishing.
Public Transportation
For those opting for public transportation, start by taking a bus from Mallee to Warrnambool. The bus service is operated by V/Line and runs several times a day. Once in Warrnambool, transfer to a local bus service that operates routes to Allansford. Check the local bus schedules as they may vary. Once you reach Allansford, it's approximately a 10-minute walk to the Hopkins River. The walk will involve heading down Allansford Road and following the signs to the river.
