Car
If you are driving from Mildura, take the Mallee Highway (A20) heading southeast. Continue on A20 for about 90 kilometers until you reach Ouyen. Once in Ouyen, follow the signs to N W Rd. Ouyen Lake is located at N W Rd, Ouyen VIC 3490. The drive should take approximately 1.5 hours.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, you can catch a bus from Mildura to Ouyen. The bus service operates multiple times a week, and you can check the schedule on the local transport website. Once you arrive at the Ouyen bus terminal, which is located in the town center, you can either walk to Ouyen Lake (approximately 4 kilometers north of the terminal) or take a local taxi. Taxi fares may vary but expect to pay around AUD 10-15 for the short trip.
Bicycle
For adventurous travelers, cycling to Ouyen Lake is an option. If you are starting from Ouyen town center, head north on N W Rd. The ride is about 4 kilometers and should take around 15-20 minutes. Make sure you're prepared for the weather conditions and have sufficient water, as it can be quite hot in the Mallee region.
