Train
From Melbourne's Southern Cross Station, take the Belgrave Line train towards Belgrave. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Alight at the Belgrave Station. From there, you can either take a taxi or a bus to reach George Tindale Memorial Gardens, which is about a 10-minute drive away. If you prefer the bus, take bus number 688 from Belgrave Station towards Upwey and get off at the stop on Sherbrooke Road near the gardens.
Bus
If you are near the Melbourne Central Station, take bus number 693 towards Belgrave. This route takes you through the scenic Dandenong Ranges and will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Alight at the stop on Sherbrooke Road that is closest to George Tindale Memorial Gardens. The gardens will be a short walk from the bus stop.
Tram and Bus
From Melbourne's city center, take tram number 75 towards Vermont South. Alight at the last stop and then transfer to bus number 693 towards Belgrave. The bus will take you through the beautiful hills of Sherbrooke. Get off at the stop on Sherbrooke Road that leads to George Tindale Memorial Gardens, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
Walking and Public Transport
From the nearest train station, Belgrave, you can walk to the George Tindale Memorial Gardens. It is about a 30-minute walk from the station. Head west on Belgrave-Gembrook Rd, then turn left onto Sherbrooke Rd. Follow Sherbrooke Rd for about 2.5 km until you reach the gardens. This route is quite scenic, so enjoy the walk!
