Getting There

• Tram

  If you are near the Melbourne Central Station, take the Route 86 tram towards Waterfront City. Get off at the stop 'La Trobe Street/Spencer Street.' From there, walk east along La Trobe Street for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with William Street. The Charles La Trobe Statue is located in the park area nearby.

  If you are at Flinders Street Station, take any train heading towards the Northern suburbs and get off at Parliament Station. From there, exit onto Spring Street and head north towards La Trobe Street. Turn left onto La Trobe Street and continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the Charles La Trobe Statue located in the nearby park.

• Bus

  If you are in the CBD, catch the bus number 401 from the 'Queen Victoria Market' stop. Get off at the stop 'La Trobe Street/Queen Street' and walk south along La Trobe Street for about 8 minutes. The Charles La Trobe Statue is situated in the park area near the intersection with William Street.

• Walking

  If you are already in the area of the Royal Melbourne Hospital, you can walk directly to the Charles La Trobe Statue. Start by heading south along Grattan Street until you reach the intersection with Swanston Street. Turn right onto Swanston Street and continue until you reach La Trobe Street. Turn left and proceed for about 10 minutes, and you will find the statue in the park area.
