Public Transport
From Melbourne CBD, take tram routes 3a, 16, or 96 directly to Luna Park/The Esplanade. These trams can be boarded from major city train stations like Flinders Street and Southern Cross. A single fare Myki card is required, costing around $5. Alternatively, take the train to Balaclava Station on the Sandringham line, then transfer to tram 16 to Luna Park.
Walking
If you are near St Kilda Beach or the Palais Theatre, Luna Park is a short walk along the Esplanade. From St Kilda Pier, head east along Pier Road, then turn left onto the Esplanade. Continue north; Luna Park will be on your left. The walk is generally flat and takes about 10-15 minutes.
Taxi/Ride-Share
From Melbourne CBD, a taxi or ride-share to Luna Park will take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Expect to pay around $17-$21 for the trip. There are designated drop-off areas near the park entrance on the Esplanade.
Driving
If driving, approach Luna Park via St Kilda Road and turn onto the Esplanade. Limited metered parking is available on surrounding streets. Council parking rates are approximately $6 per hour or $16 for the day. Consider parking at the Palais Theatre or St Kilda Sea Baths for more options. Check parking signs carefully for restrictions. Acland Court Car Park is another option, with hourly rates starting at $3.
