Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the Pacific Highway (A1) if you're not already on it. From the Pacific Highway, take the exit towards the Oxley Highway (B56) and proceed to follow B56. Continue straight on B56 for approximately 30 kilometers. Look for signs directing you toward Banda Banda, then turn onto Wilson River Road. Follow Wilson River Road until you arrive at the Wilson River picnic area, which will be on your left. Make sure to have a map or GPS handy, as some mobile phone signals may be weak in rural areas.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, start by taking a bus from major towns like Port Macquarie or Taree that services the Mid North Coast region. You can check the local bus schedules for routes that head towards Banda Banda. The nearest bus stop may be a few kilometers away from the picnic area, so be prepared to walk. After getting off at the nearest stop, follow the local signs or use a navigation app to guide you along Wilson River Road to the picnic area.
